Switched to chaining Cockatrices. Busted Nikhbet's face a couple times and got a Luminescence for my trouble. I think I just need Black Hole, now. Last time I couldn't do it until I had 3 party members and I'm sure this time'll be no different. Wish there was a shorter way to chain the fish on the shore of the Nebra river, as their fish scales sell for quite a bit. It's just too long a run for it to be effective.

Switched back to Wolves. Drops for those fuggen birds suck. I got the most expensive Grimoire and Penelo and Vaan are both lvl 19.

Dear god, I don't know why I'm actually doing this, but I am. I have talked so much s*** about this game, and it really does work to screw you over. I have a 4th hand quote from a developer that says the Zodiac spear is intentionally a screw-over to encourage multiple playthroughs, and we all know that the requirements to spawn rare game are impossible to figure out on your own. This game is pretty typical of RPGs these days, it's designed such that you have to buy the guide. What a s*** guide it is. Thankfully, there are detailed FAQs available now. I've mapped everything out, and my goals are to get Order of Ambrosia and every piece of equipment in the game. I'm not really too scared now, the breakdown is pretty good and I got 3 of the 5 equipment drops you need, last time, without any trouble. Seems that you can zone-chain Larva Eater for the Danjuro, according to someone I know (Hi, Slavka <3), so we'll see how it goes.

I just wanted to do something complex after so many action games, and there's nothing more intricate than this, that I've heard of (and actually care to play). At the end of the day, I want to do this, and that's why I'm doing it. I enjoy it for some insane reason. Blame the OCD.

Today's Progress:

Chained Wolves in the Estersand, ad nauseum, for Pelts and Wind Stones.
Finished purchasing all available equipment, spells, and techniks from the Unlucky Merchant and in Nalbina

I'll probably get back to it, in a bit, in the hopes of buying another grimoire. I already unlocked them all and bought 1. So, that's 6 to go, I think?
